Bye Bye Tooth Number 2

All day long Sunday Karli's tooth was hanging on by a wing and a prayer. As I sat on the side of the bathtub Sunday night running her bath water I asked, "are you going to let me pull that tooth out for you now?" She just looks at me for a second, says "ok," and opens her mouth. I thought she was just playing with me, but no, she actually let me pull it out. It didn't take much and ta-da, bye bye tooth number 2!! Kelsey now has 8 teeth. Her top back molars just came in last week and ofcouse her bottom back molars are coming in this week, teeth 9 & 10. It's been an AWESOME 2 weeks of sleep for us (can you feel the sarcasm)! This picture shows her sitting in her high chair enjoying a hot dog...the girl LOVES them!

YAY For A Good Report Card!!

Yet again Karli brought home a fabulous report card! We always try to reward her and let her pick somewhere to go and one friend to take with us. This time she wanted to take Rylee to the beach to see Rango...so away we went! Rylee went with her mom earlier in the day to see the horse show, so she joined us with an awesome butterfly paint job! Trying to get that off later Saturday night was comical...haha! Anyways, we went down to the beach grabbed a bite to eat and went in to see Rango! Popcorn, drinks, and some really loud laughs from the girls later, we were headed back home. We pulled the couch out so the girls could sleep together, but they had other things in mind...like dancing! They put on the movie "Barbie and the Diamond Castle" and went to town dancing to the music, singing, and laughing! They probably stayed up a little too late ;) we still made it to church the next day though, a little late.
Finally...sleep! We got up the next morning and had french toast - yum yum! Karli really enjoyed having Rylee over for the night! Hopefully her last report card will be as pleasant and we can plan something else!!

Good Morning Hollis Family!

A typical morning in the Hollis household consist of pure chaos the majority of the time. I get up, get a shower, and get dressed. Then I move on to Karli, trying to start getting her up around 6:15am. That gives her a full hour before we leave the house to eat, get dressed, and wake up. This takes some time, she again being like her mother, is NOT a morning person! By the time I've gotten Karli dressed and sitting at the table to eat her breakfast I go in to wake up Kelsey, if she's not already up and hanging on my leg everywhere I try to walk. I then get her dressed and sit her at the table to eat. By then, I want to go back to bed! However, here are a few pictures I snapped Wednesday morning before school. Below is Kelsey, 5 minutes before it's time to leave, yet somehow she stands before me soaked with the milk she's just dumped down the front of her shirt and pants!

Yet, who can resist those pretty blue eyes and cheeks any grandmoter could pinch and wiggle!

Karli could hardly keep her eyes open, although she had been up and walking around for 45 minutes in this picture! She is soooo funny!

I kept laughing and telling her to open her eyes for a good morning picture and she got so tickeled because every picture looked like the one above. So below is the result of her taking action to keep her eyes open for the picture, and they're still squinty! How funny is she! HaHa!

Beautiful Weather = Beautiful Weekend

A couple of weekends ago we had georgous weather, probably our first good taste of spring and we definetly took advantage of it! We were outside ALL DAY! Karli enjoyed driving Kelsey around in her jeep (that she can hardly fit into anymore), and Kelsey enjoyed riding. They had a ball. They would drive around the house, all over the yard, wave and keep on going while listening to their raido. I took a picture of them and sent it to my dad to ask if it brought back any memories. He said it seemed like just yesterday he was out in the yard taking pictures of me doing the same thing.
I thought this picture was so sweet. When they first started out, Karli didn't trust that Kelsey would stay put so she drove with her arm around her sister "just in case." Too sweet!

Stopping for a little snack and a well deserved break from a busy day driving/riding.

Here is William and his 2 girls! If Kelsey wasn't in the jeep with Karli, she was down behind her daddy, wherever he went.

Cheap Fun

Allow me to introduce you to our toothless wonder! Her name is Karli, she loves flashing that new smile with a missing tooth, and as you can see...loves to sneak a slice of bread! She absolutely came to be a lover of bread from her mother (who can eat a pack of hawaiian sweet rolls in one sitting)! William's dad says that I should dress up with the girls next halloween because he's found a costume thats perfect for me...a loaf of wonder bread - LOL! How they sat still for even the smallest of moments is beyond me. Here Karli flashes that smile again as Kelsey looks very confused! She's practicing her Elvis look!
Now this is what I call cheap fun...laundry basket pirate ship! If I knew that our laundry basket would have been such a hit, it would of come out a long time ago. I was in the living room one night folding clothes and Kelsey went ahead and dumped all of my clean clothes on the floor so she could crawl into the basket. All aboard!
There she sits, happy as a clam rocking her body back and forth to make the basket scoot and slide along the carpet. What a character, she just waves to me and goes on about her business.
The two of them continued to play in the laundry basket for about 45 minutes before I finally put it up. Without question Karli was the captain of that ship, but don't doubt that Kelsey certainly gave her a run for her money!

Long time...no see...

So...it's only been an entire YEAR since I've posted anything!! Way to go me right! That first year is a serious adjustment. Plus I was sooooo tied up at work staying nights away from home. Well now I have a new job...yay me! And this new job gives me more time with my girls and more time for important things like.....blogging!! Karli and Kelsey have been a blessing I never know I was worthy enough to receive this past year. A handful, but unconditionally loving little girls! I've posted a few pictures throughout the last year...not that it makes up for anything, but I WILL DO BETTER! Here is a pic of Kelsey and I at her baptism, excuse my bra strap shining!

This is a pic of Karli at halloween and I thought she was a beautiful mermaid. PS: Thanks Brooke for letting us go to your house and pick out all of the sandspurs we accumulated on her poor mermaid tail...that was no fun!

My bright blue eyed monkey...HATES to ride in a car! Loves to say "what's that?"

Love this picture of Karli, it was taken at my cousins (Ashely) wedding last year.

My sweet gifts in the living room floor this past Christmas. Tried so hard to get a good picture of them but Kelsey kept getting the sparkly ornaments off of the tree and attempting to eat them!

Karli at the beach last year in Aunt Lara's hat...too precious for words, a true beach girl at heart!

Karli taking care of her little sister in the living room floor. Karli is a precious gift and she has been a fabulous big sister. She truly is a little mama!

Karli and her Daddy! He has been an unspeakable daddy! He loves his two girls and his two girls love him! Kelsey followed him around for a solid hour 2 nights ago...everywhere he went. I have no idea where I'd be without him! Much love to my true soul mate!

Our two sweet girls...what more could two parents ask for?!?!

So...here is my vow...continue to check us out! More to come! Love you all!
